I have found that keeping my master bedroom closet organized is a an on-going process.  Last winter, I went to The Container Store website (looove that place!), and used their closet planner. (It’s free! ) I submitted the measurements of my closet as well as answered the standard questions about what clothing items, how many shoes, etc.  I needed to accommodate.  I opted to have a The Container Store call me with the design that they created.  The person that called me was very helpful and didn’t put any pressure on me to buy anything.  Of course, if I did need to buy anything, I would buy from them out of appreciation for their time and service.  Anyway, I headed to my closet and rearranged according to The Container Store’s plan and was very happy.  I  am literally comforted by a sense of peace and well-being at the sight of an organized space.  Fast forward several months and this is what I have to look at…

misplaced messes

and scattered shoes

Well, I can’t live like that.  So, I spent last Sunday night tweaking my closet organization.  Here is a little hint:  after you live with something for a while, you learn what isn’t working and why.  In this case, we weren’t putting our shoes and stuff where they were supposed to go because it was a little out of the way.  So, I figured, maybe I needed to relocate the bins and baskets to a spot in the closet where we were more likely to pick up after ourselves.

It’s been a week, and so far…

everything is in its place.

soooo good!

we can see the floor again

Until next time,
