hi there! just wanted to let you know that i am deleting the new linky follower tool from my side bar. Please make sure you are a follower of Fishtail Cottage using Google…(you can read about it here!)http://fishtailcottage.blogspot.com/2012/03/new-way-to-follow-bloggers.html
Thanks for letting me know. I know there were two parts to the GFC news…the first being that GFC was no longer going to be available to non Blogger blogs beginning on March 1st. …this didn’t really affect me because WordPress doesn’t allow me to have javascipt. So, I was never able to install the GFC widget. The other downfall to GFC for me is that even though I created an account and set up a blogger dashboard, none of the blogs I have followed through GFC show up on my Blogger dashboard and I don’t know where else to look for them. When I google GFC, I just get the page for creating an account. How do you access your GFC dashboard so that you can actually follow other blogs? The second rumor was that GFC would possibly be removed even from Blogger bloggers at some point in the future, but it seemed like no one was really sure whether it was true or not.
If there is no resolution to my GFC dilemma, I will be sure to follow you via email subscription. Fortunately, you have this option. Other Blogger bloggers only offer GFC which as I shared, really doesn’t allow me to follow. 😦
If you have any advice for I can access the blogs I follow via GFC, that would be very helpful and appreciated.
Sharon, i am having a hard time copying your button to the linky party into my post. I posted it (its the oreo desert) but am trying to update my post so that your linky party button shows up. I used blogger….does this make a difference?
Hi Jennifer. Thanks for taking the time to put my button on your post. Try right clicking on the image, selecting copy image address, then insert the image into your post. If want to the image to link back, select the image, create link and copy the url of the party into the address for the link. Hopefully that makes sense. I do think that trying to operate between wordpress and blogger can sometimes be tricky. If this doesn’t work, a text link is fine.
