Home Tour

I’m in love with cottages.  I have this inexplicable attraction to them.   Maybe it’s the multipurpose spaces, or the covered porches or the comfortable feel…or all of that.  To me a cottage just says, “Welcome”.  I’m lucky enough to live in my very own cottage in a cottage-style neighborhood complete with sidewalks, a tree-lined boulevard and back alleys. We moved into my dream home in the summer of 2007.  It’s hard to believe how much time has passed since the keys were handed over to us.  This is the first house that we have ever built.  I’ve been enjoying customizing it and making it mine ever since.

I would say the hardest thing about decorating is finding a style that really expresses me and my family, but I’m getting there.  It was devastating when hurricane Ike blew threw and tore up my then one-year-old house.  We were fortunate and got our house fixed and back to normal in time for the holidays that year.   Since then, the house has become my home.  My cottage space makes me feel like I’m wrapped up in a blanket; all warm and cozy.  Sometimes, I look around and think, “I did this.  I created a home.”  And I wonder how I did it.   I’d love to show you around.  Come on in.  Just click on the room title above each photo to take the tour.
